ClassesAll of our courses we currently offer are listed below and may be in-person (set meetings at a location TBD), online (all work and meetings are completed on the internet through Moodle), or both.  Refer to the icons below. To enroll in a Moodle course, simply click the title of the course and then log in.  New Moodle users will need to create a new account first and then repeat the aforementioned steps.

DoIT Course Offerings:

Online course21st Century Teaching and Learning
15 hours/ 1.0 licensed credit
The purpose of this course is to introduce the teacher to Web 2.0 tools and the 21st century skills of collaboration, communication, creativity, research literacy, and digital citizenship/safety. Emphasis is placed on how to create a learning environment encompassing these tools and skills. This class is solely online and you can work at your own pace.

7.5 hours/.5 licensed credit
Learn basic skills for Promethean's ActivInspire software used with interactive white boards, slates, votes, and expressions. This class is solely online and you can work at your own pace. It is administered through Moodle.

New Teacher Technology Orientation 2010-2011 session dates & registration information

To request  enrollment for a seat in the Technology Orientation session click the link below, complete the form including the  requested  session date and time. (You need to select a first and second choice from the dates and times offered). A confirmation email will be sent to your Summer email address verifying registration for one of your selections or you will receive information on who to contact if your session selection is unavailable and you need to make another selection.

7:30 - 9:15 am
9:45 - 11:30 am
1:00 am - 2:45 pm
3:00 - 4:45 pm

In addition to the workshops at the New Teacher
Conference, all new teachers must attend ONE
technology orientation course (time & dates
listed above)
Topics include: APS Teacher resources,
voice mail, GroupWise email, network login,
and Infinite Campus login for attendance,
grading and student information.
